Tuna
Fishing
Yellowfin Tuna of a decent size will put an Angler's strength and stamina to the test! Most people who have had the pleasure of catching a Blue Marlin and a Tuna will tell you that the Tuna was a much more difficult fight. Tuna have been known to bring even professional athletes to their knees.
Yellowfin Tuna range in size from 20 – 200 pounds. Their short, powerful bodies are built for diving or “sounding”. When they feel the hook in their mouth, they often dive for the bottom. This is what makes fighting Tuna so difficult.
Tuna can be prepared in a variety of ways. Whether you grill it, fry it or smoke it, Tuna is excellent.
Cobia
Fishing
Fishing for Cobia is a unique challenge. It involves sighting the fish, casting your live bait, and then enticing the fish to take it. The fun starts as soon as the hook is set! Cobia put up quite a fight and they are very exciting on light tackle. For the expert fly fisherman, this is the ultimate challenge. Many people consider cobia to be the best fish they’ve ever eaten.

Marlin
Fishing
The Blue Marlin is truly the king of all billfish. Marlin are known for their explosiveness when devouring bait. Part of the excitement of catching a Marlin is watching the fish surface and attack the bait. Marlin explode out of the water like a cannon, and then “greyhound” with the bait in their mouth. It is not uncommon for a Marlin to be in the baits at the stern of the boat, and in the blink of an eye, the fish can be 200 yards in front of the boat. The mere size and power of these fish will leave you in awe!

Bottom
Fishing
Bottom fishing is a very accurate description of this type of fishing. Anglers drop their baits down to the bottom, wait for the fish to bite, set the hook and reel the fish in. Of course reeling the fish in isn’t always a easy as it sounds. Some of these fish put up quite a fight. A typical day of bottom fishing produces Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Trigger Fish, Grouper, and Amberjack. All of these fish are excellent on the grill, in the oven, or in the deep fryer.
Wahoo
Fishing
Wonder what the name means? Hook up with one and you won’t be curious anymore. These fish are fast! They have been known to catch 4 baits in their mouth with a single pass behind the boat. With their long sleek body and sharp nose, Wahoo are truly designed for speed. Wahoo have razor-sharp teeth and have bitten people before. You do not want to be bitten by this fish.

Dolphin
Fishing
Dolphin are among our favorite fish to catch. Their striking color combination of yellow, blue, and green make them one of the most beautifully colored fish you will see. Fighting a Dolphin on light tackle is a great experience. Once hooked, these fish jump like crazy! They are some of the most acrobatic fish in the Gulf. Dolphin, also know as Mahi Mahi or Dorado, are a delicacy and excellent table fare. Fresh Dolphin Ceviche is a Lady D favorite!
